Overview

ValuX ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the ValuX iOS app and website at valuxapp.com, and how we use it.

Information We Collect

Automatically collected

  • Anonymous device identifier (generated at first app launch if you do not sign in)
  • Gameplay data: guesses submitted, scores earned, streaks, cars seen
  • App analytics data: app launches, broad gameplay milestones, purchase flow status, ad reward status, and feature usage
  • Crash and diagnostic data
  • Purchase and subscription status needed to unlock paid features and support purchases

When you sign in (optional)

  • Display name you choose
  • Account authentication identifiers handled by Apple, Google, and Firebase Auth. ValuX does not copy your sign-in name or email address into your game profile.

How We Use Your Information

  • To operate the game and save your progress, score, and streak
  • To display global leaderboard rankings
  • To understand which features are used, improve game balance, and fix bugs
  • To show advertisements to free users (see Advertising below)

Location

ValuX does not ask for, collect, or store your precise location.

Advertising

Free users may see advertisements served through Google and advertising partners. The type of ads depends on your consent:

  • With consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland): personalised ads based on your interests may be shown. You can withdraw consent through the consent message when available or by contacting us.
  • Without consent or outside EEA/UK/CH: non-personalised ads only — no interest-based targeting is applied.

Premium (ValuX Pro) subscribers see no advertisements. When ad privacy choices are available on your device, open Profile → Manage Account → Ad Privacy Choices to review or change them.

Your Consent & GDPR Rights (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on your consent as the legal basis for personalised advertising. When you first visit valuxapp.com, a consent banner will appear allowing you to:

  • Consent — allow personalised ads from Google and advertising partners.
  • Do not consent — decline personalised ads; non-personalised ads may still appear.
  • Manage options — choose which specific purposes and vendors you allow.

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].

You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (e.g. the ICO in the UK, or your national DPA in the EEA).

Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Anonymous accounts are deleted after 12 months of inactivity. Linked Apple or Google accounts can be deleted in the app from Profile → Manage Account → Delete Account. You may also contact us for help with deletion.

Children's Privacy

ValuX is rated 12+ on the App Store and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
